The Rubber Hood supplied has the following benefits:

• To narrow the detection beam angle (ideal for helping to keep the detection beam away from certain parts of the vehicle such as a Window).
• To help the PIR blend into a dark background.
• It hides any visual indication of the PIR working whilst dialling out.
• Gives further weather protection to the PIR (in open backed vehicles), never a bad thing for electronics working in the damp.

The Rubber Hood simply slides over the PIR from the top, the front aperture can be made bigger in any direction should you need more protection in a certain direction.

4G UltraPIR:

The UltraPIR has a built in PIR detector and would normally be fitted into the rear of the Van, Truck or similar Vehicle although some customers do use one in the cabin for times when the driver is away.

It has a built in 130 Decibel Siren (which can be set to silent if preferred) and has a 30 second exit delay and a 5 second entry delay (normally disarmed from outside the vehicle). The PIR has a 10 metre distance, 120 degrees horizontal & 90 degrees vertical detection pattern.

It is powered by 3 x standard AA Batteries (supplied) and typical battery life would be 12 - 18 months in most applications (depending on how often the Alarm is triggered).

You can choose to fit Lithium AA Batteries which will outlast a Duracell Alkaline Batteries by about 4 - 6 times together with performing far better in temperatures below freezing.

It is very easy and quick to fit and can be used as a permanent or temporary security solution.

Arming & Disarming: 

This 4G Van Alarm is Armed & Disarmed by using the Remote Control (supplied) from outside the Vehicle, additional Remote Controls can be added.

Additional Sensors:

This 4G UltraPIR Alarm can be expanded (if required) by adding any of the products found in the 'Accessory Tab' within this listing (no limit to how many can be added), these would be connected by a unique & secure Wireless network.

PROGRAMMING

The UltraPIR 4G boasts a user-friendly setup, thanks to its ergonomic rear-mounted keypad, which is thoughtfully shielded by a screw-secured cover. The keypad allows for the input of up to three contact numbers to be alerted in case the device is triggered, and for customizing settings like siren deactivation. To further aid in its usability, the device comes with an in-depth English language manual, simplifying the operational process. This extensive guide ensures a seamless user experience, facilitating a swift and effective setup of the UltraPIR 4G.

Communication:

The 4G Alarm communicates with key-holders via mobile phone networks using a standard sized SIM card (not provided) and will contact up to three by Telephone (with your own pre-recorded message) and/or Text Message when activated (phone calls or text can be turned off). When selecting an operator, choose one that offers the best network coverage in the area where the device will be installed. There's no need for an expensive plan or tariff (no data is required).

We do offer two Roaming SIM Cards from a third party supplier (at cost) designed for use in Alarms & Tracker Systems, these are low level contract sim cards (working on a direct debit), these can be selected within the drop down options near the Add to Card Button.

POWERFUL INTEGRATED SIREN

When the detector is triggered, it's built-in siren will sound for 60 seconds and reach 130 decibels. Once it stops, the system remains armed. If new movement is detected, the alarm will sound again. If necessary, this can be silenced for customers wanting a silent alarm (a simple process on the keypad). If silenced the Alarm will still activate any other PIR's or Sirens which have been paired into the same wireless network, this gives you the benefit of activating as many Sirens as you wish without drawing attention to the location of the UltraPIR.

EXCEPTIONAL BATTERY PERFORMANCE

The UltraPIR 4G distinguishes itself in the market with its self-sufficient operational capability. This infrared motion detector is powered by 3 AA batteries (provided), boasting a remarkable battery life of up to 12 - 18 months with continuous usage. This ensures dependable performance, offering users consistent, long-term surveillance without the need for frequent battery changes.

It is also possible to use Lithium AA Batteries for customers wanting more battery life or better performance in very cold conditions (below freezing).

DETECTION:

The Alarm system has a 30 second exit delay and a 5 second entry delay (normally disarmed from outside the Vehicle). The UltraPIR 4G is designed to detect heat movements emitted by a person. Detection is based on a specialized lens, which enables it to cover a range of up to 10 meters at a 120° horizontal angle.

The UltraPIR 4G addresses the critical concern of power source reliability in its self-sufficient design. It incorporates an effective low battery alert system. When the batteries are low, a light indicator on the device remains illuminated as a visual cue. Furthermore, for added vigilance, the UltraPIR 4G sends out an SMS alert to all registered contacts, informing them of the low battery status. This dual-notification system ensures that the device operates continuously and securely, reducing the likelihood of unexpected operational pauses.
